When ICSC (International Center for Studies in Creativity) announced its initiative to create a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Igniting Everyday Creativity, one of the stated goals of the project was to ignite creativity around the world as a means to support the department's mission. As SUNY Buffalo State faculty, staff, and students worked over the last year to launch Western New York's first MOOC, they wrestled with the following question: How do you create effective learning environments online for thousands of participants? Although the team hasn't fully answered that question, they have learned much about the design and implementation of a MOOC. Come and engage in a panel discussion as members of the MOOC team reflect on this project.
