Job Description

Responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive training development program and training products specifically related to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) clinical application and various eLearning topics. This position is responsible for developing eLearning modules for distribution in the organization's learning management system as well as facilitating instructor-led training sessions in support of clinical applications used throughout Kaleida Health facilities. This position also provides support for the ongoing maintenance of courses (online and instructor-led) in the learning management system, and supports an organizational development and human resources plan, which will facilitate culture change and system integration in support of the Mission, Vision and Values. 

Assesses the system's staff training needs for EMR; develops and delivers products, programs and interventions, including eLearning, to respond to the needs that are linked with Kaleida Health's business strategies in order to create high performing staff.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications

HS - High School Diploma or GED required. BS - Bachelor of Science or BA, in Instructional Design, Education, Health Sciences, Business, or related field required. If no degree, experience may be considered. 5 years of experience in clinical work, EMR or training/facilitation may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree requirement. 5 years of experience in design, development and delivery of training programs and curricula with emphasis in instructor-led and eLearning delivery methods.1 year of experience in instructional design principles, instructional technologies and adult learning principles.1 year of experience in desktop publishing and course authoring tools; experience with Articulate Storyline 2 is required. 1 year of experience in electronic medical record (EMR) system preferred.

Salary:  $40,000 to $45,000, depending on experience

This Software Trainer will work with new clients to educate and train them on the software platform.  This successful Software trainer will be capable of understanding questions and problems and be able to work with the clients to resolve any issues.  Interpersonal skills are a must as this Software Trainer will interact directly with all of the clients.  The Software Trainer will be responsible for developing and implementing training plans, training materials, and pulling through virtual training classes.   Client success is a main priority for this company, so it is imperative that the Software Trainer successfully trains all clients and end users on the software. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a software training setting
  • Experience in software development and programming
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
  • Ability to instruct groups
  • Must be detail oriented and able to multitask

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
