ATD BUFFALO NIAGARA
For our final program of our 2012-2013 program year, we are heading to a hidden gem in Niagara Falls, NY.
"The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI) is like a five-star restaurant ...where every course matters. The Culinary Institute gives students the tools for a successful career, from experienced faculty, in a beautiful, newly renovated facility. For visitors, they offer the most unique of experiences...from your dining pleasure to learning how to create something new in the kitchen."
Featuring state-of-the-art kitchens and its own restaurant, bakery, deli, wine boutique, TV studio, gift shop and Barnes & Noble bookstore, NFCI is the next wonder of the culinary world.
As the final program in a series focused on workforce development, our presenter will be Tom Simpson, Director of Workforce Development for Niagara County Community College (NCCC). Tom will offer a tour of the beautiful NFCI as well as share examples of how they partner with local organizations to assist with bridging the skills gap. Participants will walk away with information that will encourage them to explore similar opportunities and partnerships within their own domains.
**Program attendance supports development in the following learning and performance competencies and areas of expertise, as outlined by the ASTD Competency Model: Instructional Design and Performance Improvement.
Please note: as this program will also include a NFASTD year-end business report, the normal agenda will be slightly modified. The program will begin promptly at 7:50 am:
Parking: is available in the attached parking ramp on the 3rd and 5th floors. Please bring your ticket with you to the program as the Culinary Institute will validate parking.
